Spring Lyn Knight Postcard and Paper Auction
May 19, 20, 2010

Spring 2010 Lyn Knight Postcard and Paper Auction Pre-Bidding Has Begun!
May 19, 20, 10:00 AM Live Auction sessions will follow the May 17, 18, 9:00 AM viewing sessions at Lyn Knight's state of the art auction facility in Lenexa KS . As always, lunch and beverages are always on us. Pre-sale internet bidding is a highlight allowing the bidders to bid for weeks prior to the sale (even now!) and our Knight Live feature will allow bidding online during the sale, real time. Very easily managed, visit www.lynknight.com now for details, or call Rhonda at 1-800-243-5211.
Auction location is Lyn Knight Auctions, 14144 Santa Fe Trail Dr., Lenexa KS 66215. Order your catalogs now, $25 postage paid, mail checks to: Lyn Knight Auctions, PO Box 7364, Overland Park, KS 66207 OR Order your Spring 2010 catalog with Paypal now at: http://www.courthousesquare.net/lynknightcatalog7.htm. For Details and hotel information: Rhonda at 1-800-243-5211 An amazing group of postcard lots, including hundreds of box and bulk lots will be offered.
Session One is Real Photo Postcards, Signed Artists, Black Americana, about 1200 lots. Session Two is Printed Postcards, Holidays, Printed Views, and Box Lots, about 1200 lots.
The number of lots is much larger than our Fall 2009 sale. The majority of cards in this sale have not been offered before anywhere, and the largest single consignment, consisting of many hundreds of lots, has been out of circulation since the 1980s.
Some of the highlights include, amazing Social History, occupations, rare Mucha, Kirchner, Schmucker, other great artists, RPPC wagons, military collection, a tremendous Black Americana collection, hundreds of high quality state view RPPC, Wain cats, 4th of July, hundreds of Halloween, Fantastic Santas, including Hold-to-Light Santas.
This sale features the collection of WALTER WELP who was said at one time to be the second largest collector in the U.S. He started collecting as a young man accumulating approximately 500,000 cards. This sale also features the collection of Charles and Carol Kimball, consisting of over 50 albums and special smaller lots of wonderful social history, rare Suffrage, Black Americana, very rare propaganda and political cards, and many albums of military. Much of the material is scarce, seldom seen 'Man's inhumanity to man," inequalities, injustices, and other similar themes. The Wengert Collection of Medical/Military postcards was a welcome addition to the sale. James (Doc) Wengert was a very advanced collector of postcards related to medical in the military Red Cross, nursing postcards. Many of the best Real Photo postcards are from the personal real photo postcard collection of Chris Myer, collected over many years, and coming out into the market for the first time. A great opportunity to add top material to your collection.
For the dealers we have probably 300,000 vintage cards lotted as box lots and bulk. Box lots (small and large) of views, sorted by country, state or town, both printed and RPPC. Bulk (up to 4 postcard boxes per lot) of wholesale material. This is the best opportunity to pick up fresh merchandise for the summer postcard show season, as well as to restock your internet stores and malls.
We have other great consignments and fresh material that hasn't been out for years. Contact us now for consignment info for future sales.

Hello!
I am always looking for cards of my two favorite towns: Panama City, FL and St. Andrews, FL (a/k/a Saint Andrew, FL). I like all views and eras, but of course the older cards are most desirable! Also, a steamer ship called the Tarpon (which used to sail between Pensacola and Panama City) is another interest of mine. If you have any of these, please let me know and if you don't have any right now, I hope you'll keep me in mind in the future! Thanks so much!
